As part of the competition organised in cooperation with Santander Bank Polska, each of the winners received a financial prize of PLN 2,000. The selection of the winners was not accidental – the Evaluation Committee paid attention to a wide range of activities: from academic results, through sports and artistic achievements, to social activities and initiatives for the university.
The winners include both first-year students and those approaching the end of their educational path. People pursuing a PhD degree at the University of Lodz were also recognised. The common denominator was their active attitude – both within the walls of the university and beyond it.
Common mission: education, development, future
The Santander Awards are more than just a one-time, symbolic gesture of recognition. They are primarily a desire to recognise the potential of the winners and an impulse to continuously acquire knowledge and develop. This has been yet another edition of the programme.
The partnership between the University of Lodz and Santander Bank Polska is a part of a broader initiative aimed at supporting education and society in acquiring new competences. We implement these activities by investing in people who want to develop and educate themselves. The “Santander Award for Students and Doctoral Students of the University of Lodz 2025” programme is a step towards creating a better future, where knowledge, innovation and cooperation are key values
– Wojciech Leśniewski, Director of the Santander Universidades Department in Poland.
As part of our cooperation with Santander Bank Polska, we regularly encourage our academic community to take advantage of numerous programmes offered on the Santander Open Academy platform. These include financial awards and training in various fields valued on the labour market.
