Nabór na konferencję nt. muzyki popularnej

We encourage you to contribute to the "We Want More: Music / Sociology!" conference, which will focus primarily on sociological reflections on popular music. However, the organisers also invite researchers from other disciplines, such as cultural studies and geography. The event will be held on 8–10 April 2026, at Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands), member in the UNIC Alliance. The deadline for abstract submission is 1 October.

The conference organisers' ambition is to combine various approaches and threads related to music: from production and current challenges for music ecosystems (including artificial intelligence, the growing popularity of streaming, musicians' remuneration, sustainability issues) through the social functions of music (including supporting inclusivity and the impact of music on social change) to the issue of musical preferences. A broad range of papers which explore music from different methodological and theoretical approaches and through diverse empirical data are welcome.

Detailed information can be found in the file sent by the organisers (go to the file).

Date and time of the event: 08 April 2026 (Wednesday) 08:00 - 10 April 2026 (Friday) 16:00
