When and Where To Submit Your Application?

Applications are accepted from 12 October to 6 November 2026 exclusively via USOSweb, in the “All” → “Applications” section. Remember to click “Sign and Submit Electronically” – simply completing the form is not enough!

Important: applications with the status “being completed”, “returned for correction” or “returned for completion” will not be considered. If your application contains any formal deficiencies, you will receive a relevant notification through USOSweb.

What Will Be Taken into Account?

The assessment is based on the weighted grade average for the 2025/2026 academic year, as well as additional academic, artistic and sporting achievements obtained between 1 October 2025 and 30 September 2026. A list of eligible achievements can be found in Appendix No. 15 (in Polish) to the Scholarship and Financial Aid Regulations.

Remember to:

  • attach documents confirming all reported achievements;
  • upload them in the order in which they are listed in the application;
  • provide a clear description of each attachment (the maximum file size is 10 MB per file);
  • attach Appendix No. 3 (in Polish), namely the declaration concerning the number of semesters commenced.

Important change concerning grade averages! From 1 October 2026, grades obtained in repeated courses completed under conditional progression arrangements, as well as courses credited towards the continuation of studies, are also taken into account.

How Many Students Will Receive the Scholarship?

During the first round, the scholarship will be awarded to students within the top 9.5% of a given degree programme, regardless of year of study, study mode, form of study or study cycle. A further 0.5% of the allocation has been reserved for successful appeals.

If you wish to appeal, you have 14 days from the date of receiving the electronic decision. Appeals, together with a justification, must be submitted in paper form to the Education and Student Affairs Centre or sent by post. Appeals submitted by email will not be considered. The appeal template can be found in the document repository.

Scholarship rates and thresholds are available in Appendix No. 2 (in Polish), while the schedule and allocation breakdown can be found in Appendix No. 16 (in Polish) to the Scholarship and Financial Aid Regulations.

The first scholarship payments are scheduled for 22 December 2026, including back payment dating from October.

What If I Am Just Starting My Studies?

Students admitted to the first year of first-cycle studies in the year they sit their high school leaving examinations may apply for the scholarship without demonstrating a grade average if they are winners of international Olympiads, winners or finalists of national-level Olympiads, or medal winners in Polish Championship sporting competitions. The subject area of the Olympiad does not have to be related to the chosen study programme.

Additional Application Round for Selected Engineering Programmes

An additional application round will be open from 1 to 5 March 2027 for programmes that conclude after the seventh semester, namely engineering degree programmes.

It will be available to students who retain student status in a given programme and are not currently receiving a Rector’s Scholarship.

This opportunity will also be available to students who complete seven-semester engineering studies by 28 February 2027 and begin second-cycle studies on 1 March. In their case, the grade average from the seventh semester will be taken into account.

Before submitting your application, make sure to review the detailed rules in the Scholarship and Financial Aid Regulations (in Polish) and confirm that you have all the required documents. Good luck!
