Uniwersytet Ludzki. Uniwersytet Równy. Uniwersytet Łódzki.

June is a month of visibility, support and solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. During this time – and every other day of the year – the University of Lodz reaffirms that we are an open, diverse and safe space for all students, doctoral students and staff members – regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, background or beliefs.

Our strength lies in our community – UniLodz is a place where people matter more than processes, and values such as equality, mutual respect and empathy form the foundation of our everyday actions. We don’t just teach – we also learn from one another, with respect for individual experiences, histories and needs.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate diversity, but also a reminder of the responsibility we share as an academic community – to create a university where every person – student, doctoral candidate, academic, or staff member – feels seen, supported, and treated equally.

Our commitment to equality and social inclusion is reflected in the UniLodz UNIFIED campaign. This initiative not only promotes the values of openness, empathy and mutual respect but also provides real support to members of our community. Through the campaign, anyone at UniLodz can access psychological support in crisis situations and receive assistance from the Coordinator for Preventing Discrimination, Mobbing and Other Undesirable Behaviours – a role dedicated to tackling discrimination, violence and exclusion. These are actions that show the University of Lodz doesn’t just talk about values – it upholds them.

Every person in our community matters. Together, we build a place where differences don’t divide – they enrich us.

Let’s assess – but only coursework. Let’s open our minds – not just to knowledge. Let’s respect one another – no buts! Proud member of the #UniLodzTeam
