Competition for Diploma Thesis

The Field Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Lublin, the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, are pleased to invite students to participate in the second national edition of the competition for the best thesis (bachelor's, engineering and master's) and doctoral thesis in the field of forced displacement and/or refugee studies.

The initiative is to raise public awareness in the field of forced displacement and encourage research in this area, as well as to contribute to the development of actions aimed at improving the situation of refugees and forcibly displaced persons.
 
Students can submit their theses related to the topic of forced displacement and/or refugee studies that were written and successfully defended at any university in Poland, between 1 January 2021 and 30 September 2024. The theses should be submitted through the online form: Competition for the best thesis and doctoral thesis (2nd edition) by 31 October 2024 (11:59 p.m.).  .  
 
Prizes and distinctions will be awarded in three thesis categories. Authors whose theses receive first and second place will receive prizes while third place winners will receive distinctions.
