First stop – United Arab Emirates
Before reaching their destination, the students visited Abu Dhabi. There, at the Polish Embassy, they had an opportunity to observe the work of Polish diplomats in the Middle East. The meeting provided not only a valuable lesson about the challenges and opportunities in the region, but also a platform for discussing their own observations and reflections.
Dr Natalia Zajączkowska, an Arabic language lecturer at the University of Lodz, who has been supporting the development of young Middle East enthusiasts for years is the academic supervisor of the trip.
Language learning in the heart of Oman
Our students began their Arabic language course at the renowned Sultan Qaboos Institute in Muscat. This prestigious event attracted nearly 50 participants from 16 countries. For eight weeks, students have been intensively exploring Arabic grammar, vocabulary, writing and speech under the guidance of experienced Omani teachers. The curriculum also includes field trips and sightseeing tours, allowing participants to further explore Omani culture, history and everyday life.
International experience and practical dimension of science
The trip is a unique opportunity to combine theory with practice – from exploring the realities of international relations, through intensive language learning, to immersion in local culture.
We are proud of our students, who, with their curiosity, initiative and courage, demonstrate what #UniLodz is all about – a University of People who want more!
