Budżet obywatelski „wspUŁrządzimy”

The call for applications for the Civic Budget "wspUŁrządzimy" is open until 26 March this year. The allocation of funds this year is PLN 300,000. Any person studying and doing a PhD at our university, as well as project teams can apply. As part of the Civic Budget of the University of Lodz funds for infrastructural projects, as well as for integrative, scientific, cultural, sporting or ecological initiatives can be obtained. One of the conditions is that the projects must be universal, i.e. serve a larger group than the community of one faculty or doctoral school.

The Civic Budget, due to its participatory nature, is one of the tools to strengthen the engagement, sense of fitness and development of the University of Lodz. Thanks to it our communities of students and doctoral students have a real impact on the development of the university and its activities. It is a part of the Fund of the University of Lodz Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education for government, scientific and organisational activities of students and doctoral students.

Dr hab. Robert Zakrzewski, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz – Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education:

Dear Students and Doctoral Students,

I would like to encourage you to submit your projects to the "wspUŁrządzimy" Civic Budget for students and doctoral students 2024. I would like this Budget to be another tool for the joint development of the University of Lodz, and I believe that it will have a real impact on the activities of our university, which you co-create.
Through this programme you may change both your and our surroundings and actively participate in the academic life. I hope that this will help develop organisational skills to an even greater extent and contribute to closer cooperation. Ultimately, the projects will make the physical and social space more friendly, accessible and modern, thus creating a unique nature of the university.

Initiatives and projects under "wspUŁrządzimy" can be submitted by all individuals who have the status of a student or doctoral student of the University of Lodz. You can apply both individually and in teams, including mixed teams, i.e. teams of student and doctoral students. Projects initiated by the student and doctoral community should be universal, i.e. serve the entire community of the University of Lodz. Projects concerning the student campus and the University of Lodz Library are particularly universal.

In addition, the projects should:

  • improve the technical, IT or material infrastructure of the University of Lodz, in accordance with the needs and expectations of students/doctoral students
  • improve the functioning conditions of students/doctoral students on the premises and in the buildings of the University of Lodz
  • strengthen the integration of the student/doctoral student community
  • support the scientific, cultural, artistic or sports development of students/doctoral students
