Applies to people who have signed an oath and an agreement with the university and resign from studies.
The declaration should be submitted to the Student Services Office (BOS) or sent by post to the department’s address, or in the form of a scan from the university e-mail box (...@uni.lodz.pl), or otherwise by e-mail, in this case a confirmed signature is required, e.g. via ePUAP or trusted profile.

Within 14 days from the date of delivery of the decision about removing from the list of students, the student may submit to the Student Services Office (BOS) a waiver until further notice to Rector, then the decision becomes final and legally binding.

Candidates for studies who do not undertake studies after recruitment and have not signed an oath or agreement with the university yet should submit a written declaration of non undertaking studies to the Student Services Office (BOS).

The statement should be  submitted to the Student Services Office (BOS) by students studying two fields of study at the same time.

To obtain consent for Individual Organization of Studies within 14 days from the semester beginning student should submit the application for IOS to the Student Services Office (BOS) with an IOS card signed by lecturers.
IOS is awarded in accordance with §34 of the Study Regulations, and particularly in documented cases:

  • health, including those related to disabilities, pregnancy or being a parent,
  • random,
  • care for disable relatives,
  • related to periodic studies outside the University of Lodz,
  • active athlete.

The application should be submitted to the Student Services Office (BOS) within 14 days from the end of the re-sit exam session. In case of a seminar it is needed to enclose a written consent from the Supervisor to be added to the seminar group.
In accordance with regulations, the fee for one repeated subject for students starting their studies in 2023/2024 is PLN 600 PLN, for other students it is 550 PLN. The fee is payable by October 15 (winter semester) and by February 25 (summer semester).

A student who has got a consent to repeat a semester has the right to take subjects covered by the study plan of the higher semester with the consent of the Dean and under the conditions established by the Dean. The application should be submitted to the Student Services Office (BOS) within 14 days from the beginning of the semester.
Sequential subjects are not eligible to be taken in advance. Failure to pass the advanced course(s) is treated as repetition.

In accordance with the resolution of the Faculty Council, you can apply for conditional completion of a semester in case of not more than 2 failed subjects.
In accordance with applicable regulations the fee for the one repeated subject for students starting their studies in 2023/2024 is 600 PLN, for other students it is 550 PLN. The fee is payable by December 15 (winter semester) and by May 15 (summer semester).

The application should be submitted to the Student Services Office (BOS) immediately after the case occurs, in accordance with § 50 of the Study Regulations, in connection with illness, random event, birth of a child or taking care of a child, or for other justified reasons. To the application should be enclosed documents confirming the occurrence of an event justifying the granting the leave (e.g. a copy of the child's birth certificate).
Academic leave due to illness is granted on the basis of a medical opinion issued by an authorized doctor from the health service unit providing medical care to the university to which the student is referred by the Dean.

The student is obliged to report his/her return to studies no later than 7 days before the end of the leave. Failure to meet the specified deadline is tantamount to not starting studies.

Students in their last semester of studies may apply for an extension of Diploma thesis submitting. All subjects, except the seminar, has to be passed. Written support from the Supervisor with a predictable date of Diploma exam and a percentage of the work's progress are required

After resuming studies, it is necessary to complete failed subjects from the semester or year (from which the removal from the list of students occurred) and pay for each failed subject, in accordance with the Rector's Order in force in a given academic year. It is also necessary to complete the program differences connected with a study program.

  • signed transcript of records with ECTS points and grades,
  • certificate of semester completion with calculated average grade.

  • copy of the High School Diploma  (in the case of first-cycle studies) or copy of the Bachelor’s degree Diploma with the transcript (in the case of second-cycle studies),
  • consent of the Dean of the home university.

The application should be submitted to the Student services Office not later than 14 days before the semester beginning, after completing the year or semester in the field in which the student started studies.
In case of the Vice-Dean positive decision, the student is obliged to complete the program differences connected with a given study program, within the specified period.

Application for exchange

The student can submit an application for a copy of the diploma (English, French, Spanish, German or Russian) to the Student Services Office (BOS). A copy of the supplement can be issued only in English.
Before a diploma exam the student can apply for a copy of the diploma in Polish and  in foreign language (no additional fees), if the application is submitted after a diploma exam the cost of each additional diploma copy is 20 PLN, additional supplement copy – 20 PLN.

The application should be submitted to the Student Services Office in the winter semester not later than by October 15 of a given academic year, and in the summer semester by February 15 of a given academic year. It is necessary to enclose documents, which can confirm the student's financial situation, e.g. photocopies of a certificate from the tax office or from the employer, declaration of the number of people in the same household. 
Undocumented applications will not be considered.

Person who has paid the fee:

  • for studies and has not begun studies (i.e. was not matriculated),
  • for an ID card (and he/she has an ID card from another faculty),
  • for a diploma 

may, upon request, receive a refund of the fee paid.
The application with the confirmation of payment should be submitted to the Student Services Office.        
In case of resignation from studies during the academic year by submitting a written declaration to the Student Services Office (BOS), the student may apply, via BOS, to the Dean for reimbursement of the fee paid, reduced proportionally by the time of study completed. 
The amount of the refundable fee is calculated as follows: the semester or annual fee is divided by the number of weeks in the semester or year and multiplied by the number of weeks of study remaining until the end of the semester.

At the written request of a student or graduate, documents may be sent by post to the indicated address with return receipt confirmation. To the application has to be enclosed the confirmation of payment of the shipping fee, A4 format, fee of 14.30 PLN, international shipment – 21.90 PLN.

The student is obliged immediately, but not later than within 30 days, to notify the Student Services Office (BOS) about changes in marital status, name or surname, telephone number, residential and correspondence address. In case of failure to fulfill the obligation to inform the Student Services Office (BOS) about a change in personal data, letters delivered to the previous correspondence address will be treated as correctly delivered.
