Wybory rektora Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego na kadencję 2024-2028

Next Tuesday, 19 March 2024 at 10:00 a.m., the University of Lodz will hold election of the Rector for the term 2024-2028. Two candidates are vying for the office: the current Rector of the University of Lodz, Prof. Dr hab. Elżbieta Żadzińska and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Lodz, Prof. Dr hab. Rafał Matera.

The election will take place in the Wacław Szubert Assembly Hall, Lindleya 5 in Lodz. The Rector of the University of Lodz will be elected by 200 members of Electoral Board, selected by the university community in electoral elections. After the electoral votes have been counted by the the Ballot-Counting Committee, the election results will be presented by the President of the University Electoral Commission, Prof. Dr hab. Aldona Domańska. Rector-elect will take office on 1 September this year, when the new term begins. 

As part of the election campaign at the university, the candidates have already held a public debate in the Wacław Szubert Assembly Hall. They have also met with members of the academic community of the University of Lodz at individual faculties and other university units.
