We encourage you to submit papers for the two-day conference “Radical Right Narratives, Conspiracy Theories, and Vigilantism in an Age of Democratic Decline,” which will be held at the University of Deusto, Bilbao Campus, Spain on 27-28 October 2025. The event aims to bring together people working academically at the intersection of the humanities and social sciences, who deal with the activities of radical right-wing movements. The deadline for submitting abstracts is 23 May 2025.

The call is open to those working at the intersection of from political science, sociology, anthropology, media studies and related fields who examine how radical right narratives gain traction in digital spaces, how they intersect with conspiratorial thinking, and how they contribute to vigilante actions that threaten democratic practices. The organisers welcome empirically grounded and theoretically grounded papers that explore the aforementioned issues in different geographical and political contexts. Original interdisciplinary research based on qualitative, quantitative or mixed-methods approaches is particularly desired.
