Streszczenie: In this talk I argue that von Neumann entropy plays two conceptually distinct roles in quantum theory. When applied to global mixed states, it functions as the quantum analogue of informational entropy, capturing uncertainty associated with statistical mixtures. However, when applied to reduced states of entangled systems, it quantifies a structurally different feature: the presence of non-separable correlations that have no classical analogue. I suggest that this second role realizes a distinct informational kind, which I call relational information. Unlike information in communication theory, which reflects probabilistic expectations about outcomes, relational information expresses objective structural interdependence between physical systems. It arises from the non-factorizability of the quantum state and is therefore rooted in the non-commutative structure of the theory. I conclude by arguing that this notion of relational information has ontological significance: it corresponds to a physically instantiated structural feature of entangled systems rather than to an agent-relative epistemic quantity.
